You can walk to the train station easily and be in Amsterdam in 15 minutes. The location is very central and there is a Albert Hein grocery store 2 minute walk away. I enjoyed listening to the nearby church bells playing their tunes each morning whilst eating my breakfast - really beautiful. The breakfast was huge and beautifully presented. I Cannot say enough nice things about Roelie the lady that runs the place, she is really nice.

The rooms are very comfortable and clean and there are lots of nice extras like free bottled water, some wine and beer, tea and coffee etc. We stayed for 4 nights in the 2 downstairs rooms with my family of 4.

The Indonesian Rice Plate cuisine is a must try! We will definitely be back to Holland one day and expect to stay at Wherelse again. The food in Holland far exceeded our expectations.

We did a day trip to Amsterdam by train and enjoyed it however we preferred the cute small town of Harlem over the larger touristy Amsterdam. She was so helpful with every need that we had (internet, laundry, restaurant suggestions, taxi to the airport, etc.) The breakfasts were amazing! The location is perfect, right down town and within walking distance of the incredible Grote Market, restaurants and shopping, yet off a little alley way that allows for a peaceful nights sleep. Rieneke, the owner, was very sweet and made us feel at home right away. It was a very comfortable, nicely decorated, and clean accommodation. We had the two 1st floor rooms with the shared kitchen, bathroom and patio. It was the end of an exhausting jam-packed two week tour around Europe and this was exactly the relaxing setting that we needed to wind down the trip. No doubt we would have gone back again if we hadn't been treated so badly. My husband and I and two of our friends stayed at this lovely B&B for 3 nights in May. Honestly the room was BEAUTIFUL and the surroundings were so peaceful. I felt like leaving immediately but since it was getting late and there was just no other place to go we stayed. So I said ok then WHY did we get a confirmation that the room was available in the first place. I said YEA I know and besides that it's my 40th Wedding Anniversary! She said they were booked since January for all rooms. They finally said SORRY you can only have the room tonight.because after all it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. So we went back down to the desk at which point another employee joined her and I could tell immediately something was wrong. She said OH well that's why there was a price difference. We had paid for a LOFT room which included a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub and breakfast the next morning. I was even more pleased.however when she led us up the steps we were mortified to see a teeny little room. When we arrived the ditzy girl at the desk said we overpaid and she quoted us a lower price. BUT "lucky us" we found this place and made the reservation.so excited that we were able to find it. Time was slipping away and since we married on Valentine's Day, we knew finding a place would be a challenge. We found this place on line and it looked like the perfect place to go for our 40th Wedding Anniversary.
